The Champagne Terrace By Laurent-Perrier At The Shelbourne Will Be Open From 8th May

Relax and indulge on The Champagne Terrace at The Shelbourne this summer with a decadent new menu of Caviar and Champagne pairings

A sanctuary for those seeking an afternoon tipple or evening of chic al fresco dining, The Champagne Terrace by Laurent-Perrier at The Shelbourne will be open from 8th May through to September, celebrating some of the finer things in life including a new menu of decadent Caviar & Champagne pairings.

The Champagne Terrace will showcase the fine Champagnes from Laurent-Perrier alongside a selection of elegant Champagne cocktails and new seasonal dishes. And for anyone looking for a truly decadent date night idea in Dublin, why not pair a glass or bottle of Laurent-Perrier with a selection of exquisite caviar from around the world including Baeri Classic, Asetra or Perle Imperial, The Shelbourne’s special House Caviar.

For lunch, light bites and dinner dining, the new summer menu on The Terrace created by head chef Garry Hughes also features a variety of sweet and savoury options which pair brilliantly with the Champagnes on offer. Savoury options include the classic pairing of a half dozen oysters for €24, baked garlic prawns with crusty sourdough for €30, a seafood sharing platter for €72 and the delicious Dublin Lawyer for €45. Sweet options showcase a modern take on the traditional classics of Peach Melba, Pecan Pie, The Éclair and Carrot Cake all for €15 each.

Champagnes available by the glass and bottle include Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée at €26 a glass or €130 per bottle and Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2012 at €46 a glass or €230 per bottle, Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé for €36 a glass or €180 per bottle.

There are also two special Champagnes only available by the bottle, Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle for €350 and Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Grand Cuvée Rosé for €500.

The four elegant and refreshing Champagne cocktails (€19) on the menu include the Grand Dame, with delightful notes of peach and jasmine topped with Laurent Perrier Champagne; Purple Passion, a vibrant and summery combination of violette liqueur, Grand Marnier, clarified mint pineapple cordial, peach bitters and Champagne; French 1824 with brings together Angostura 1824, pomegranate liqueur, lemon juice and Laurent Perrier Champagne; and the Shelbourne Velvet combining the Shelbourne Irish Whiskey Stout with Laurent Perrier Champagne.

A stunning floral installation by The Shelbourne’s talented florist team brings the prettiest summer vibes. Head florist Mary O’Reilly and her team were keen to design the installation as sustainably as possible and have chosen plants and flowers that grow and thrive well in Ireland’s climate, creating a gorgeous, lush, secret garden feel on The Terrace.
