It’s been a long wait, but at last, iconic bistro Balfes is reopening on Monday, June 7th, with its stunning Terrace and friendly team, eager to welcome guests back with an extensive menu of signature cocktails and delicious fare. One of Dublin City Centre’s largest outdoor dining terraces with 45 seats, the Terrace at Balfes offers the ultimate spot to gather with friends and family this summer – there’s now even more room for al fresco diners, with the opening of the new additional terrace on Clarendon Street.
Start your visit with one of Balfes’ expertly-mixed signature cocktails, €14 each. Share a toast with the U Ok Hun?, a pretty pink concoction made with Beefeater Pink Gin, Suze, Rinomato Aperitivo, Belsazar White, grapefruit cordial, citrus and tonka syrup served in a coupe glass; the Can You Can-Can? a cheeky blend of Grey Goose vodka, white vermouth, and pimento dram; or the Venetian Spritz, an Italian-inspired mix of Aperol, Campari, Manzanilla, apricot, tonka, bitters, and Prosecco . Balfes’ mixologists have been busy coming up with some enticing new creations for summer 2021, so get ready to try something new and exciting!
Moving on, sample your favourite Balfes signature dishes, like gluten-free fish and chips, the BodyByrne chicken and avocado wrap, and grilled gambas with romesco relish and chargrilled sourdough, or try one of the new delicious dishes for the season, such as lobster and prawn linguine with roasted cherry tomatoes and confit garlic, and chicken schnitzel with asparagus, lemon and Caesar dressing.
The Terrace at Balfes is available to enjoy on a walk-in basis only; due to high demand, spaces cannot be booked in advance. New opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am-11am for breakfast; 12pm- 9.30pm for the all-day menu; and Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm for brunch; 5pm-9.30pm for dinner.
