Six by Nico Dublin, which will debut on November 30th at 1 Molesworth Street in Dublin 2, has today announced ‘The Chipper’ as its inaugural theme.
‘The Chipper’ menu, which pays homage to the iconic fish and chip shop, will kick-start a series of new six-course tasting menus that will change every six weeks.
From 30th November, Dubliners will be treated to not only a new restaurant but a brand-new eating experience, inspired by chef Nico Simeone’s Scots-Italian family heritage in ode to a long series of chip shop entrepreneurs. A trip to the local chipper is a ritual enjoyed by many Irish communities, and that is what this new inaugural menu aims to do. Among the gastronomic delights on the menu are chips and cheese, scampi, steak pie, fish supper, smoked sausage, and deep-fried mars bar – all reimagined by the Six by Nico team.

Chef Nico Simeone said,
“This month, we are very thrilled to unveil the new restaurant and ‘The Chipper’ menu in Dublin. Most people are familiar with the tastes and scents of their local chip shop and we wanted to take the idea of the everyday chipper menu and re-invent it to create a playful food experience that dubliners would recognise and be amazed by.
I’m incredibly excited about opening in Dublin, and I’m equally excited about incorporating the best of Irish produce into everything we do. We look forward to bringing a completely new offering and dining experience to the city and can’t wait for our doors to open on November 30th.“
Diners can book a table now for ‘The Chipper’, which runs from Tuesday, 30th November – Sunday, 2nd January 2022. Open from midday, Tuesday through to Sunday, each six-course menu will be available from noon. The menu will be priced at €45 per person and diners will have the option to enjoy an expertly selected wine pairing for an additional €39.
The Six by Nico concept was born in Glasgow in 2017 from a passion of experimenting with new ingredients and developing and creating unique dishes. Six by Nico Dublin promises to be as eye-catching as it is delicious and will boast a minimal design, starkly contrasted by grand fixtures and fittings with atmospheric mood lighting. The restaurant will feature a modern design open kitchen on view to all.
