The Johnstown Estate in Enfield, Co Meath, just 35 minutes from Dublin, is pleased to announce the opening of the Royal County’s coolest new cocktail destination, Parterre.
With interior architecture and design by Millimetre Design, the 56-seater venue features an abundance of lush foliage and a living garden, combining that unbeatable al fresco feel with the comfort of the indoors. It also features a retractable roof, ensuring the space is weather-proofed all year round.
Specialising in botanically-inspired cocktails (from €15), guest favourites include the Parterre Bloody Mary which showcases the bar’s exclusive spice mix; the Spa Serenity, made with Hendrick’s Flora Adora gin, Midori, kiwi puree, Orgeat syrup, lime and egg white; and the House Martini, featuring the signature rose and cucumber foundation and coastal botanicals of Hendricks Neptunia along with Lillet Blanc, sage oil and pickled cucumber.
A wide range of non-alcoholic cocktails (from €12) include options like the Cucumber Breeze, made with Seedlip 0.0%, cucumber marmalade, cucumber cordial, agave syrup and lime, topped with soda. You’ll also find a carefully-curated edit of white and red wines, prosecco and Champagnes as well as an extensive range of quality whiskeys, other spirits and liqueurs.
To complement the high-end drinks offering, Parterre offers nibbles (from €4.50) like hickory smoked toasted almonds and marinated oriental mixed olives along with light bites (from €7) like Nori Tempura and a sharing charcuterie board.
Perfect for an aperitif before dinner at one of the Estate’s two restaurants, The Coach House Brasserie or Fire & Salt, Parterre is also a favourite with visitors to The Spa, with its creative cocktails offering a fitting end to a day of pampering. A welcome addition to the Co Meath social scene, Parterre has also proven popular with locals as a chic destination in itself.
Parterre is open Thursday from 4pm; Friday and Saturday from 2pm and Sunday from 1pm until late. It’s also available for private hire on weekdays, making it a versatile option for corporate groups and private parties.
