Following a sold-out run of weekend pop ups (which saw pastry-loving customers patiently queue outside in all sorts of weather) in Dublin before Christmas, Greystones-based Scéal Bakery has announced it will have a new permanent weekend base in The Wine Pair, Lower Clanbrassil St, D8.
Founded in 2017 by Charlotte Leonard-Kane and Shane Palmer, their journey began as a market stall in Dublin 8, so it’s only fitting that the cult-status bakery has returned to the neighbourhood.
From this Saturday 8th February and every Saturday going forward Scéal will be at The Wine Pair with pastries and sourdough loaves

They will be open from 10am-1pm, and say that they can guarantee that “the Scéal staples that you know and love will be there.”
Scéal’s menu changes with the seasons, championing local Irish ingredients and dedicated suppliers, all while ensuring everything they bake is fresh, everyday.
Seasonal February bakes include an Irish cavolo nero, garlic and lemon focaccia, as well as a rhubarb and custard Danish

Scéal Bakery will be posting their weekly menu to Instagram stories, so keep an eye out here.
