Afternoon tea at the five star InterContinental Dublin takes on a fabulous festive twist as Executive Pastry Chef, Orna Larkin, unwraps a delicious seasonal selection of mouth-watering sweet treats, served in the elegant surroundings of The Lobby Lounge and The Reading Room with its welcoming open fire and views of the garden terrace.
Known for its elegant Christmas décor, including the expertly made Gingerbread House, in aid of The Make a Wish Foundation this year, and stunning festive floral displays by Thomas Lee, there will be 20 stunningly decorated Christmas trees around the Hotel with over 1,000 lights on each tree and the largest being the 15ft beauty in the Hotel’s Lobby InterContinental Dublin – Christmas wrapped up!
This Festive Afternoon Tea treat is available from now until January 4th, 2026, between 12.00pm and 5.30pm, excluding December 24th to 26th.
This year’s special menu of seasonal flavours includes a sandwich selection of Ham, Creamy Brie and Rocket in Ciabatta with Honey and Mustard Sauce; Turkey and Cranberry on Brioche Turkey and Cranberry Sandwich on Brioche with Gravy on the side! a moreish Roast Beef with Caramelised Onions, Dubliner Cheese and Horseradish Sauce on Brown Bread; and a tasty BLT and Creamy Mayonnaise Wrap.
Homemade freshly baked seasonal fruit scones are flavoured with orange zest and mixed spice, while mouth-watering sweet treats created by Orna and her team include Orange and Almond Brioche; Passionfruit and Tonka Bean Roulade; Gingerbread Pannacotta, and Vanilla Rum Sponge with a Pear Brandy Snap.
Festive Afternoon Tea is priced at €70.00 per person for the extensive menu selection, with your choice of loose teas and coffees. Vegetarian and gluten-free Afternoon Tea menus are also available to pre-order.
There’s also the option to mix-up the merriment with a Champagne Festive Afternoon Tea at €87 pp including a glass of Perrier Jouet, and the Perrier Jouet Rosé Champagne Festive Afternoon Tea at €90pp.
