Café en Seine have partnered with Champagne PANNIER 1899 for a night of food and drink excellence for a one night only event on September 17th.
The event, aptly titled “Aim For Perfection” (after the Houses motto dating back to the 14th century archer emblem), is a perfect excuse to sip, celebrate and soak up the glamour of one of Dublin’s most iconic venues.
The prestigious House of Pannier are flying over a wine expert, from Marne la Valee in the Champagne region itself, to guide guests through the intimate tasting experience. With sensational food, paired to perfection by renowned chef Stephan Gibson, the evening is set to be the highlight of September.
Café en Seine is raising a glass to luxury, and the evening will equip guests to call themselves wine connoisseurs if they are not already. Whether guests are looking to impress their friends, or to brush up on their sommelier knowledge, this will be an excellent opportunity to taste a wide range of premium Champagne, as well as learning about the house’s fascinating history and the intricate artistry behind their exceptional cuvées.
Stephan Gibson has created a bespoke tasting menu with each course perfectly pairing to one of the PANNIER range

The experience will commence with Lobster Brioche Rolls as course one paired with Champagne PANNIER Extra Brut.
Diners can expect the crisp, dry Champagne to cut through the richness from the buttery, creamy brioche with slightly sweet lobster meat refreshing the palate after each bite. The high acidity of the Extra Brut also prevents the pairing from cloying, and instead highlights the lobster’s delicate sweetness.
To complete the experience, the final course will be a Lemon Tart, with a toasted meringue and raspberry sorbet, paired with a Champagne PANNIER Demi Sec. Guests can expect a harmonised balance of sweetness between the sugared lemon curd and high-acidity match between the pairing. The lemon brings the zing to the pairing, with the raspberry adding fruitiness, and the Demi-Sec ties them all together in an indulgent yet light end to the meal.
This one night only event is not to be missed, with limited ticket availability at €90
Guests receive a five course tasting menu, five glasses of premium champagne and a guided walk through the Champagne pairings with opportunities to speak with the wine makers directly.
From the Marne La Valle to Dawson Street, this is a journey into Champagne Pannier’s legacy, a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and the art of pairing fine cuisine with exceptional champagne.
