Brown Paper Bag Project Wins Big at Global Craft Beers Awards

Dublin based beer brewing collective Brown Paper Bag Project have won four awards for their beers at Global Association of Craft Beer Brewers Awards held in Berlin on the weekend of July 26th.

The Brown Paper Bag Project are brewers of no fixed abode, who travel the world to brew unique beers, taking inspiration for brews from from the places they visit and the people they meet.

One of the award winners is Gøse, a beer inspired by the near extinct style of beer from Leipzig which was brewed on the island of Fano in Denmark using Irish Atlantic sea salt, Danish sea salt, coriander and a sour mash. Gøse took home third place in the experimental beers category.

Another beer, the recently launched Shmoake, topped its category winning best smoked beer in the competition.

In the dark ales category their Pleasant Porter won second place and in the pale ale category their Saison-styled Doxie came in third place.
