Looking to fill your diary with brunch dates or cocktail catch-ups with friends? Balfes’ new menus feature an extensive list of delicious treats and signature cocktails for you and your fellow diners to enjoy while you share your news in person amidst this welcoming city centre gem.
Balfes’ new signature cocktails, all €14 each, make the perfect start to an evening out with friends. Try the U Ok Hun? a pretty pink concoction made with Beefeater Pink Gin, Suze, Rinomato Aperitivo, Belsazar White, grapefruit cordial, citrus and tonka syrup served in a coupe glass. Spring Skye contains Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch mixed with Disaronno, orgeat, fennel, citrus and egg white; while White Label features pandan leaf-infused Powers Gold Label Irish Whiskey combined with white chocolate-infused white port. They join Balfes’ extensive list of expertly-mixed favourites like the Venetian Spritz, Paloma, and White Negroni.
Meanwhile, Balfes’ new brunch menu offers a tempting array of mid-morning delicacies, from smoked Irish salmon and scrambled eggs or smashed avocado with poached eggs to buttermilk pancakes served two ways; or opt for the BodyByrne superfood salad; Higgins heritage Ribeye, with lobster mayonnaise, watercress salad & fries; or a dry-aged beef burger on a brioche bun. Starters include grilled gambas with romesco relish, sea vegetable butter and sourdough, and buffalo milk mozzarella with thyme roasted squash and pistachio pesto; while dessert lovers will delight in a classic vanilla crème brûlée, baked lemon tart with raspberry sorbet, or Cru Virunga chocolate fondant with golden honeycomb and crème fraîche.
