Rias Baixas Week – Celebrating Albarino Wine in Ireland
From the 26th of September to the 2nd of October, Irish wine lovers will celebrate Rias Baixas Week, a time to discover and enjoy Albarino, the region’s aromatic, crisp and versatile white wine. For this, the Spanish Commercial Office has partnered with TheTaste and selected restaurants across Ireland to promote this wine.
Rias Baixas is located in the region of Galicia, on the Celtic fringe of Spain, where a green landscape and generous rainfall is met with well drained soils, sea influence and passionate producers who craft Albarino wines, known for their flavours of honeysuckle, pear and citrus fruits, and for how well it goes with a wide range of cuisines, from its classic match with seafood to chicken, veal and international cuisines such as Mexican, Indian and Asian.
