Planning a Staycation? Here Are All The Irish Winners From This Year’s World Travel Awards

Irish hotels and tourist experiences scooped up a number of awards at the recent World Travel Awards 2018 for Europe.

If you’re planning a staycation around the country, then you’ll definitely want to bookmark these award winners. Irish hotels that picked up awards this year included Dromoland Castle, The Shelbourne, Adare Manor and The Conrad.

Dromoland Castle was named Ireland’s Leading Boutique Hotel, while Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel was awarded Ireland’s Leading Business Hotel.

The Conrad picked up two awards this year, taking home the award for Ireland’s Leading Luxury Hotel and Ireland’s Leading Hotel Suite.

The revamped Adare Manor Hotel in Limerick was officially named Ireland’s Leading Hotel for 2018.

Sandymount Hotel in Dublin won the award for Europe’s Leading Green Hotel, while Avis was named Ireland’s Leading Car Rental Company.

In terms of tours, the Jameson Distillery Bow St in Dublin was named Europe’s Leading Distillery Tour, while The Convention Centre in Dublin picked up the award for Europe’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre.

Meanwhile, up North, Belfast’s newly opened Titanic Hotel was named Northern Ireland’s Leading Hotel, while the Radisson Blu Hotel in Belfast was awarded Northern Ireland’s Leading Business Hotel.
