Walnut or Wal-Not? One of Our Favourite Classics is Losing its Head


With smaller chocolate bars and flavour changes, our favourite tasty treat has taken a few hits recently. Now, one of Nestlé‘s oldest brands, the Walnut Whip, is getting the snip, with the company announcing the first nut-free versions of the chocolatey treat.

While this will appeal to those with nut allergies, it may also be the result of an increase in the price of nuts in the UK.

The ‘Walnot Whip” will hit shops later this week, with a minty version set to launch next month.

Alison Clinton, the brand manager of chocolate classics at Nestlé UK and Ireland, said: “These new products will offer consumers more choice, enabling them to share their favourite products with their family and friends.”

But don’t worry, if you’re a fan of the original Walnut Whip, you can still purchase the delicious treat all year round!
