Tantalise Your Taste Buds with a Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu
This Valentine’s Day you and your other half can spend an evening in one of Dublin’s most romantic dining rooms. Glovers Alley features beautiful blush pink decor and boasts fantastic views onto St.Stephen’s Green.
Chef patron Andy McFadden has created special four-course and eight-course menus that will make this a Valentine’s Day you won’t forget.
If you choose the four-course Valentine’s Day Menu you will begin your evening with a delectable Scallop Ceviche & ‘Waldorf Salad’. This will be followed by a superb dish of Cod, Brassicas, Hollandaise & Seaweed, and then a mouthwatering Aged Beef Sirloin, Celeriac.
To finish your meal on a sweet note, indulge in Hazelnut & Truffle with luscious Manjari Chocolate, Macadamia Nut & Guinness.
Guests opting for the eight-course Valentine’s Day menu will start their gastronomic experience with Lambay Island Crab, Kohlrabi with Ponzu and Thyme. Follow this course with Coolattin Cheddar Dumplings, Ham Hock and Pommery Mustard. The third course will be a unique Beet ‘Tartare’, Hazelnut, Watercress and Truffle.
Feast on a dish of sumptuous Scallop, Pig’s Head, Pumpkin & Ginger and a dish of Anjou Pigeon, Carrot, Olives, and Verjus. Those with a sweet tooth will savour a dish of Grapefruit, Velvet Cloud Sheep’s Yoghurt, Honey and Lime followed by a refreshing plate Mango, Pineapple, Cream Cheese and Passion Fruit to finish. There is also an option to order an additional cheese board if you’re feeling particularly ravenous.
Andy said, “The Valentine’s Day Menu that we’re offering our guests will showcase the best local, seasonal ingredients that are available to us. We have chosen some really unique wines to be paired with both the four-course menu and the eight-course menu”.
The Four Course Valentine’s Day Menu costs €80 per person or €130 with wine pairings, and the Eight Course Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu is €105 per person or €195 with wine pairings.
