Dublin Set For Major Hotel Boost With Two New Hotels Planned For The City

There’s more exciting news for the Irish hospitality sector, with two new hotels being planned for Dublin city in the near future.

Planning permission is being sought to develop a 38-bedroom hotel at 13 Trinity Street in Dublin 2. The three-storey-over-basement premises was acquired last year by Torchglen.

They are now planning to completely refurbish the original structure with a hotel, bar and restaurant.

The second hotel on the cards at the moment is a proposed 39-bedroom hotel on Dame Street.

Two New Hotels

A planning application has reportedly been submitted to Dublin City Council to open a new hotel at the location currently occupied by Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe.

If approved, this venue will be a six storey high hotel with a bar and restaurant.

These two proposed hotels are just the latest in the recent wave of planned new accommodations in the city centre.

Earlier this month, plans for a new 9-storey hotel were submitted by property developer Noel Smyth, along with a 6-storey extension to the popular Temple Bar Inn.
