Compiling 5,000 years of history into one minute 24 seconds is no easy feat, but that’s exactly what Tourism Ireland has done in their latest video for Ireland’s Ancient East.

Tourism Ireland has unveiled a charming timelapse video, showcasing locations around Ireland’s Ancient East – including Glendalough, Newgrange, Castletown House, Hook Lighthouse and Kilkenny Castle. Called “Dawn to Dusk in Ireland’s Ancient East”, the short film showcases some of the wonderful attractions visitors will experience when they travel here.

From ancient monasteries to the world’s oldest lighthouses and medieval round towers, this timelapse film shows potential visitors what makes Ireland’s Ancient East so special.
