TheTaste.ie Producer’s Row Spotlight with Taste of Dublin: Nana’s Tea

Bubble tea has become all the rage recently, and for good reason – it’s an absolute delight to drink! Whether you prefer a milk tea or iced tea, popping boba or tapioca pearls – Nana’s Tea has it all! We had a chat with Jane from Nana’s Tea about her journey starting the business and what to expect from them at Taste of Dublin.

Have you always had a great love of food?

As the manager of Nana’s Tea, I have a deep passion for food and beverages. Exploring flavors and creating unique combinations is something that has always excited me.

Can you tell me about your own background in the food industry? 

I have had several years of experience in the food industry, working in various roles that allowed me to develop a strong understanding of customer preferences, quality standards, and the art of creating delightful culinary experiences.

What inspired you to set up your business? Did you notice a gap in the market?

The inspiration behind setting up Nana’s Tea was the desire to bring the vibrant and refreshing bubble tea culture to Dublin. We noticed a gap in the market where people were longing for a wide variety of high-quality bubble teas made with fresh ingredients and innovative flavors.

How did you set up the business and how has it been growing over time?

We set up Nana’s Tea by planning our menu, sourcing the best ingredients, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers. Over time, our business has been steadily growing as more people discover and fall in love with our delicious bubble teas.

Is this your first time taking part in Taste of Dublin?

Yes, this is our first time participating in Taste of Dublin, and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase our unique bubble teas to a wider audience.

Do you have anything special planned for your stand at Taste of Dublin?

Absolutely! We have some exciting surprises planned for our stand at Taste of Dublin. Our goal is to create a memorable experience for visitors. 

What are the ingredients used to make your product(s)?

We take great care in sourcing the freshest and highest quality ingredients for our bubble teas. Our ingredients come from trusted local suppliers and distributors who share our commitment to excellence.

Can you tell me about some of the benefits associated with your product(s)?

Our bubble teas not only offer a refreshing and indulgent beverage experience but also come with various benefits.

How important has social media been for you in spreading the word?

Social media has played a crucial role in spreading the word about Nana’s Tea. It has allowed us to connect with a wider audience, share our unique offerings, engage with customers, and receive valuable feedback that helps us improve and grow.

What makes your product unique?

We strive to offer a diverse menu that caters to various tastes and preferences, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Where can people get your product (shops, restaurants)?

People can get our delightful bubble teas exclusively at Nana’s Tea, located in Dublin 2. 6 Wexford Street,  Dublin2.  D02EH30

Can you tell me some of the chefs and restaurants using your produce?

We are proud to collaborate with several renowned chefs and restaurants in Dublin who appreciate the quality and uniqueness of our bubble teas. 

What, do you think, are some of the most interesting dishes that have been created with your product? Do you have any favorites?

While our bubble teas are primarily enjoyed on their own, we have seen creative chefs and mixologists incorporate our teas into innovative desserts, cocktails, and even savory dishes.
