The Twelve Hotel continues their Wine Dinner series with Yann Schÿler of The House of Schröder & Schÿler
The next dinner in the ongoing Wine Dinner series at The Twelve Hotel showcases the famous wines of The House of Schröder & Schÿler and takes place in the presence of Yann Schÿler on Wednesday 11th November at 7.30pm.
The dinner starts at 7.30pm in West Restaurant at The Twelve Hotel, with five courses including wine costing just €75. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award for eight years running, and numerous other wine accolades for their spectacular wine list, The Twelve Hotel are looking forward to hosting this special wine dinner with the wines of The House of Schröder & Schÿler.
Yann Schÿler will be introducing each wine while guests are served five delicious dishes which perfectly accompany the wine, created by talented Head Chef of The Twelve, Martin O’Donnell and his team. Some of the wines that will be included in the tasting will be from the Chateau Forcas Hosten, the Chateau Kirwan and Charmes de Kirwan.
The story of the House of Schröder & Schÿler is intimately bound up with that of the Bordeaux wine trade. Over the centuries of its eventful history, marked by wars and changes in political systems, its business became increasingly specialised and its markets more and more diversified.
The House of Schröder & Schÿler, on the strength of its 265 years of experience, is today one of the eight family firms which matter most in over two centuries of existence in France! In Bordeaux, it is the oldest wine trading firm that has remained within the family ever since its foundation.
Today, Yann Schÿler has taken over from his father, Jean Henri, at the head of the firm, and has also assumed the title of Consul General of Denmark in Bordeaux, a post held by the family since 1917, not forgetting that the Consulate has been intimately associated with the House of Schröder & Schÿler ever since 1835.
