The First Cork Whiskey Festival is Here

Festival Cork is a new initiative that launched in the People’s Republic this year. The organisation want to promote the best food and drink in the city through innovative and exciting events and festivals.

Their first venture is Cork’s first Whiskey Festival which is taking place from April 14th to 17th in venues all over the city.

The festival is bringing together Ireland’s whiskey producers and Cork’s best bars and restaurants to show you what’s available in the city. It is also a chance for whiskey enthusiasts to sample some interesting whiskeys from around the world.

Throughout the weekend you can experience tastings, talks, tours and more in participating venues including Sober Lane, Electric, The Oliver Plunkett, Deep South, An Brog, The Cornstore, Cavanaghs, Goldbergs, Soho, The Raven, The Woodford, The Shelbourne Bar and Kudos Bar @ The Clarion.

The Cork Whiskey Festival are working with some top producers such as Hyde, West Cork Distillers, St Patricks Distillery, Teelings Whiskey, Dingle Whiskey, Jack Ryan Whiskey, Knappogue Castle, Jameson, Single Pot Still, Bulleit Bourbon, Nikka and The Irishman Whiskey to ensure you get to experience the best whiskeys available in Cork.

This is to be the first of many festivals celebrating food and drink in Cork, later in the year details will be announced for a Gin and a Cocktail Festival.
