Tasty New Treats at The Bridge 1859 Launches a New Menu

Located in the middle of Ireland’s rugby heartland in Dublin’s Ballsbridge, The Bridge 1859 offers more than just pre and post-match pints!

The brand new menu offers diners a wide choice of dishes without any airs and graces. The vibe is relaxed with a choice of seats along the bar, comfy booth style tables at the back, and a function room upstairs that can be hired out for private parties or corporate engagements.

Head Chef Simon Boland (formerly of The Church Bar and Restaurant) has created a menu that uses only the best food and ingredients. The selection ranges from familiar and indulgent to unconventional and intriguing, and always to the highest quality.

Starters include The Bridge Chowder and West Coast Water Mussels, mains like Tempura Lemon Sole, Roast Stuffed Globe Artichoke and the 1859 Tower Burger, and desserts such as Butterscotch Chocolate Brownie and the Strawberries ‘N’ Cream.

Carefully sourced highlights include the Glazed Chicken and Herb Roulade which is wrapped in pork caul, the Summer Salad with sweet potato, candy cane beets and Five Mile Town Goats Cheese, and the Ham Hock Roll, served on a Waterford blaa with candy cane beetroot and celeriac remoulade.

The Bridge 1859 also has an exciting Brunch Menu, served on weekends. Dishes include The Bridge Breakfast, The Bridge Salmocado and Chorizo and Haddock Smokies. For more traditional types, The Bridge Roast is served every Saturday and Sunday, and changes weekly.
