The Ardilaun Bistro Launches New Seasonal Summer Menu

The Ardilaun Bistro at Galway’s iconic The Ardilaun Hotel, has launched a new seasonal menu, building on its reputation as one of the leading fine dining and gourmet cuisine destinations in Galway. Nestled on the leafy Taylor’s Hill on the edge of Galway City, The Ardilaun Hotel is one of Galway’s longest standing hotels and has been serving some of the finest food in the city for over 50 years.

In keeping with the hotel’s rich history while adding an innovative modern twist, The Ardilaun Bistro has been transformed for a new culinary chapter.

The Ardilaun Bistro is perfect for all occasions from casual dining to special celebrations, award winning Executive Head Chef David O’Donnell has created a new contemporary seasonal menu which highlights and celebrates the culinary delights of the West of Ireland. Using the finest selection of local artisan produce, each dish will take diners on a sensory journey by promoting first-class ingredients from passionate local producers along the West Coast of Ireland. The menu features fresh seasonal produce from The Friendly Farmer, McGeough’s Fine Foods, Aran Goats Cheese, to name but a few.

The evening menu entwines The Ardilaun Hotel’s timeless elegance with an innovative modern twist. Dishes include starters of Organic Spelt and Ballyhoura King Oyster with Star Anise Risotto, Aran Goats Cheese served with Beetroot Walnut, Yellow Chicory, Rehydrated Golden Raisins and Burnt Leek. Main dishes include Aran Hake with Braised Fennel, Coco Beans, Salsify and Doon Castle Oyster Cream, Castlemine Farm Pork Belly served with a Pear Chutney, Sweet Potato, Spring Onions and a Coriander Jus, Pasture Reared Chicken with Roscoff Onions, Lentils du Puy, Kale and Rosemary Port Jus and Dry Aged Angus Steak with Ballyhoura Mushrooms, Smoked Aubergine, Carrot Fondants and a Tarragon Jus.

The Ardilaun Bistro is open from 12pm to 9pm daily serving a wide variety of light bites, lunch, and evening dinner menu. A children’s bistro menu is also available, along with the Hotel’s extensive wine list and signature all-day cocktail menu. The Ardilaun also offers a stunning outdoor patio area on the picturesque green gardens of the landmark hotel, the perfect setting for intimate social gatherings from summer barbeques, afternoon tea and al-fresco dining.
