Summer Specials in The Saddle Room at The Shelbourne

The Shelbourne are set to spoil you this summer in The Saddle Room. Throughout July and August you can enjoy a special three-course table d’hôte dinner by Chef Garry Hughes and his team.

Available from 6.45 Sundays to Thursdays, the menu includes a bottle of wine carefully selected for you by award-winning sommelier Nisea Doddy.

The Saddle Room is one of Dublin City’s most sophisticated dining rooms, based on the traditional grill room, an old favourite reinvented as a modern classic.

The open kitchen and unique Oyster Bar add a sense of theatre to proceedings while Chef Garry Hughes produces confident dishes made from the finest Irish ingredients.

The special summer menus will showcase some of the best produce Ireland has to offer including Kilmore Quay cod, Curragh lamb, Mullaghmore mussels, Goatsbridge seatrout, Lambay Island lobster, Charleville beef, Shercock chicken, Fivemiletown goat’s cheese, Dingle Gin-cured Castletownbere salmon and Liscannor crab.

There is also a great value pre-theatre menu available every night of the week in The Saddle Room from 5.30 to 6.45 with two courses for €27.00 and three course for €32.00.

ABOUT THE SADDLE ROOM

“Often we are so busy looking for the next rising star in Irish food that we forget the ones that have blossomed a long time ago and continue to be as popular as ever. These are far and few between, one that always stands out for us is The Saddle Room in The Shelbourne hotel.

Often the only time many people we have spoken to have experienced the food at the Shelbourne is at a wedding or banquet of some kind, those who have dined in The Saddle Room however have enjoyed a totally different culinary experience. Sometimes when you have a landmark building with the history and reputation like The Shelbourne you may be forgiven in thinking that dining here may be out of your budget, well you’d be wrong.” Read the full review on TheTaste
