Summer Evenings Sorted at The Garden Terrace at The Merrion Hotel

Celebrate long sunny days and enjoy The Merrion Hotel’s new seasonal inspired additions to the menu available at The Garden Room and on the beautiful Garden Terrace.

For warmer days, The Garden Terrace offers a quiet and luxurious sanctuary in the heart of Dublin city with guests being able to enjoy dining Al Fresco on the lower terrace or choose from one of the six bespoke cabanas which are nestled around the hotel’s water features.

Executive Head Chef Ed Cooney and his team of talented chefs have been busy creating wonderful new dishes as well as adding subtle summery twists to signature classics. 

Taking centre stage this summer is the tantalising Seafood Tower which proudly showcases the very best of Irish fare. With Burren Smokehouse Smoked Salmon, Kelly’s Oysters, Prawns, Mussels, Crabmeat and Nori Seaweed Crisps and sauces including saffron aioli, cocktail sauce and shallot dressing, it is a seafood devotees dream dish (€95-two person sharing). Enjoy with the recommended wine pairing Chablis, Domaine des Hâtes, Burgundy, France 2021; a lovely refreshing chardonnay with notes of grapefruit and green apple.

Guests can indulge in the specially created Summer Lobster Roll (€25) which can be paired with a glass of chilled champagne. The superbly balanced roll features a fluffy brioche bun with fresh Irish Lobster sourced directly from the West Coast of Ireland.  

For a more sustainable focused experience, guests can now choose from the hotel’s very own lemon infused Gin with a bespoke garnish, carefully mastered to ensure zero waste.

New to the cocktail menu and perfect for a refreshing tipple with family and friends, why not try the new Champagne and Sorbet collection which includes a mandarine, peach, raspberry or lemon & gin sorbet topped up with Henriot Brut Champagne.

When time is of the essence, guests can choose from the Speedy Specials which guarantees an enjoyable lunch within 45 mins. Available Monday – Friday from 12:30 – 3pm daily specials include Skinny (Chicken) Soup / Soup of the Day and Wild Mushroom Linguine with a Hazelnut Crumb (Vegan).
