The Events For Spanish Wine Week This Year Are a Wine Lover’s Dream

The third annual Spanish Wine Week is here and is running from April 23rd to April 29th in various locations around the country. Celebrating the fascinating regions and grapes of Spanish viniculture, there are a number of events for wine lovers to enjoy.

Spanish Wine Week is perfectly designed for both foodies and wine lovers, giving guests the opportunity to feel the passion and learn more about Spanish wines with a series of events, from tastings, talks, special restaurant and wine shop offers and competitions, all organised by Wines from Spain.

Today Pickle, award-winning Northern Indian street food restaurant on Camden Street, is hosting a Spanish wine dinner with a fascinating pairing of 6 Spanish wines with 4 courses of award-winning chef Sunil Ghai’s delicious Indian food. Beginning at 6.30pm, tickets are priced at €55 per person.

On Friday 27th April, No.1 Pery Square are hosting a Spanish dinner prepared by Chef Timothy Harris with dishes including traditional Paella, jamon courgettes and grilled octopus paired with a selection of wines from Spain. Tickets are priced at €59 per person and you can visit for more details.

Saturday 28th April will see Suesey Street host a sparkling wine tasting led by Corinna Hardgrave, where a selection of fabulous sparkling wines including Cava will be reviewed, followed by lunch in the cosy private dining room of the restaurant. The tasting and lunch costs €35 per person contact to book.

On Sunday 29th April, wine supremos and multi award-winning wine obsessives The Twelve, take an in-depth look at wines from Rueda. Kicking off at 4.30pm, Discovering Rueda at The Twelve costs €60 per person (wine tasting & supper) or €45 per person (supper only). For tickets, visit

On the same day, The Lodge at Ashford Castle in Mayo will have a Spanish wine dinner, showcasing the impressive diversity and variety of Spanish wines as they perfectly complement the menu of award winning head chef Jonathan Keane. Visit for more information.
