A New Year’s With a Twist – Escape The Hustle And Bustle of The City With Smithwick’s

Celebrating the New Year should be a memory shared with loved ones, full of laughter and stories to retell over and over again. And to ring in the upcoming year’s end, Smithwick’s Irish Ale is offering an alternative setting for those looking to escape the typical New Year’s night out in the city.

Having created a more laid back experience on the stunning Achill Island, the ‘Smithwick’s 10° West’ will take place during New Year’s weekend, December 31st and January 1st.

Speaking about the event, Smithwick’s Brand Manager, Jeanette Levis said: “We’re thrilled to finally introduce ‘Smithwick’s 10° West’. We’ve created an experience for those looking for that little something different this New Year’s.

“Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in one of the most stunning settings in Ireland, we want people to be able to enjoy real moments with friends, from going for a hike in the breathtaking Achill landscape to sharing a pint in a cozy pub listening to some of Ireland’s best up and coming bands.”

Over the course of the two days, there is a range of daytime activities from nature yoga sessions to greenway cycles, with stunning views of the Atlantic around the Slievemore Mountains.

This is followed by an evening music festival that’s been curated by Homebeat, and will include live performances from Talos, Daithi, LUMO DJs as well as Stomptown Brass and Sing Along Social – complete with a chilled pint of Smithwick’s for good measure. Pop-up music sessions will also take place within a handful of Achill’s favourite locals.

Located 53°N 10°W on Achill Island, embraces the true way of life of an islander, where few things matter more than creating memories with great friends and family while celebrating in one of the most picturesque and remote settings in Ireland.

A romantic getaway for a couple too, experience the country’s last sunset of the year as you cheers with a refreshing pint over true, Irish entertainment.

Tickets are available now, costing €45 per person, which includes two daytime activities, access to the Keel tent and a complimentary pint of Smithwick’s.
