As spring slowly shows signs of arrival, food lovers are in for a treat as the new season reveals a parade of fresh flavours and colours. If anyone knows how to bring in seasonal and local produce into the spotlight, is the Slow Food community, and this 11th of February, their Mayo group will host an event to highlight the wonders of spring at the beautiful Lodge at Ashford Castle.
The Slow Food End of Winter Supper promises to be a celebration of the flavours of spring with carefully chosen food and drink to be enjoyed at Wilde’s Restaurant at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. The event will take place from 7:00 pm and tickets are priced at only €35 (or €20 for Slow Food Mayo members and those who register before the 9th of February 2018).
For those wishing to make a short escape out of the occasion, there are special B&B rates starting at €120 per room for the night.
