As if we weren’t already plotting a summer staycation, The Draft House Gastro Pub in Strandhill, Co. Sligo has launched a stunning new video showcasing both the award winning eatery and the popular seaside town to tempt us to the west.
The video will be released on social media today in conjunction with a competition to win Sunday Lunch at the Draft House. Head Chef Lee Mastin’s experience in Michelin starred kitchens is reflected in a tempting seasonally led menu to please everyone.

“Strandhill is everyone’s favourite for a great day out”, says Nicholas Ryan, Draft House Manager, “Families and friends love walking on the beach, surfing or visiting the Strandhill Market where we have a stall, then finishing up with Sunday lunch at the Draft House. It’s always buzzing here” he added.
The Draft House comes highly recommended for kids with a children’s menu and plenty of entertainment, plus kids eat free on Friday evenings which makes a rather perfect end to a busy week.
Quirky and engaging, this cosy eatery is a perfect fit for pretty Strandhill village on the Wild Atlantic Way. “We don’t do ordinary” is their confident slogan and they seek to live up to this with a unique offering in the northwest, on the menu and beyond.
Original touches include complimentary showers for hungry surfers and warm kennels for the dog walker’s best friend, so they can enjoy a delicious meal or craft beer in comfort.
The Draft House was a worthy winner of the Bord Bia ‘Just Ask’ award and Best Casual Dining Experience at the Gold Medal Awards and has also been recommended in Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Guide.
