Born on the legendary grounds of Slane Castle, Slane Irish Whiskey is a triple-cask matured Irish whiskey created to achieve smoothness and complexity.
The much anticipated bottle had its global launch last Tuesday 4th of April at The Loop in Dublin Airport. It will be available exclusively at Dublin and Cork airports during the month of April and after that, it will be available through the on-trade and specialist retailers. It will then reach shelves in the UK by May 2017, USA by June 2017 and Australia by July 2017.
Slane Irish Whiskey comes from Brown-Forman’s (the group behind numerous American drink brands including Jack Daniel’s) new and purpose-built distillery at Slane Castle in Meath, which represented an investment of €44 million, and is expected to be fully operational by July.
Marshall Farrer, Brown-Forman Global Travel Retail Managing Director said: “Slane Irish Whiskey is an exciting addition to the robust collection of whiskies available in the Brown-Forman Global Travel Retail portfolio. It fills the important Irish whiskey niche for us and will be a worthy companion to the Brown-Forman Whiskey line-up that includes Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Woodford Reserve Bourbon.”
