This Sleek Dublin Bar is Hosting the Ultimate Anti-Valentine’s Party

If you are to Valentine’s Day what The Grinch is to Christmas, you don’t need to stay home rolling your eyes, you can show your disdain for the corniest of celebrations publicly at the second edition of The Liquor Room’s “Shred your Ex” party, which will take place this 10th of February.

They held the event last year and it was a massive success, so now it’s back with a vengeance, but, what is it, exactly? All you need to do is go to The Liquor Rooms on Saturday, 10th February and bring with you a photo of your ex, to do with it what you like! Spoilers: Shredding it is the house’s suggestion.

Use as coaster, draw on it, bin it, get creative.

If you have a particularly heinous break up story, you can win a free drink or treat by sharing it with the venue’s empathetic staff, who will lend an ear to your woes while mixing award-winning cocktails.

And just because one man’s (or woman’s) unwanted present is another’s find, there will also be a Dumpster Swap Shop where you can get rid of those once precious but now unwanted pressies from your ex. Swap them for someone else’s unwanted gift or just get rid of it! You’ll be even helping a good cause along the way, as the team at The Liquor Rooms will make sure anything left behind is given a new home or given to a local charity afterwards.

As for the night’s tunes? A1. The venue’s DJ will be spinning upbeat, heartbreak tunes to dance your heart out with wild abandon. If that wasn’t enough, there will be some live comedy for you to have a laugh, and of course, the decadent cocktails we know and love from their amazing menu.
