Join us at Upstairs at No.4 in the heart of Dublin City for this celebration of Sherry wines as part of International Sherry Week.

We’ll be tasting a delicious range of Sherry wines discovering different styles from crisp & dry to nutty & complex and luscious sweet ones. We will be highlighting Sherry wines from Fernando de Castilla, Lustau, Tio Pepe, Croft and Harveys.

During this fun & informative tasting, held in a beautiful private tasting room, we will also enjoy some nibbles while tasting our wines.

The event is supported by Barry & Fitzwilliam, Tindal Wine Merchants and Mitchell & Son Wine Merchants.

About A WINE IDEAA WINE IDEA, founded by Sevgi Tüzel-Conghaile, is a Dublin based wine centric business which provides wine tastings, workshops, wine education and wine consultancy that are ideal for everyone from the enthusiast to industry professional. 
Sevgi, who is an Oenologist & Viticulturist, has dedicated her life to wine and has spent time as a winemaker, wine scholar, wine educator and wine consultant. Sevgi’s passion for wine began while she was studying Food Engineering in one of the wine-producing regions of her native Turkey. Following her graduation, she chased her dreams and started to work as a winemaker in her home country. Sevgi obtained her MSc in Oenology & Viticulture from the most prestigious universities in the world in the field of wine, Montpellier SupAgro and Bordeaux Sciences Agro in France and Hochschule Geisenheim University in Germany. This also gave her a great opportunity to visit many vineyards and a chance to discover especially the French and German wine regions. She later joined a company audit project in Château Couhins in Pessac-Léognan in Bordeaux. Following this she joined the team in Heymann-Löwenstein in Mosel in Germany. 
Sevgi contributed to as a freelance wine writer. She also runs every year an 8-week wine appreciation course as part of NUI Galway. She also joined certified courses that specialized in Champagne, Sherry and Cava. She is also an Associate Judge at International Wine Challenge London and member of Irish Guild of Sommeliers and Wine Spirit Women.
