Seasonal Asparagus On The Menu At The InterContinental Dublin This Spring
The InterContinental is offering up some of the finest seasonal fare in Dublin this Spring. This luxury five star hotel, located in Ballsbridge set on two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, is celebrating delicious home-grown Irish produce and has designed a seasonal asparagus menu for this Spring.
Locally grown Irish asparagus only grows for a very short time from May until June, therefore the InterContinental Dublin’s Executive Chef Alberto Rossi is making the most of this year’s asparagus season.
Chef Alberto will be serving up some of Ireland’s most mouth-watering green asparagus sourced from Drummond House in Baltray, Co. Louth, along side some white and purple asparagus to eager diners. This special menu will be available in the hotel’s Seasons Restaurant and The Lobby Lounge.
Guests can choose from dishes including starters such as delicious Cured Irish Organic Salmon with White Asparagus. This impressive opening act will be followed by a mid-course treat of white, purple and green asparagus with egg and truffle ravioli.
For the main course, diners will enjoy melt-in-the-mouth poached and roasted Kilkenny Rosé veal loin with silky smooth asparagus purée, white asparagus tips, broad beans and romanesco.
Guests can savour these seasonal delights along side a stunning selection of wines hand picked by the hotel’s Sommelier Stephane Reynard.
This thoughtfully prepared seasonal asparagus menu will be available from 4th – 31st May in Seasons Restaurant and the Lobby Lounge at InterContinental Dublin, with dishes starting from €13.00.
