River Cottage Brings Seasonal Dining Experience to Airfield Festival Of Food this 10th of September
Fans of Channel 4’s River Cottage are in for special culinary taste experience at Airfield Estate’s Festival of Food this September 10th. River Cottage’s hard-hitting campaigns have contributed to the improvement of the eating habits of a nation and improved the welfare and sustainability of animals and fish. Joining the Airfield Festival of Food, the River Cottage Dining Experience takes place in Overends Restaurant from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm with chef Gelf Alderson curating a seasonal dining experience.
Guests will enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival and a selection of gourmet canapés. A starter of roast beetroots, pickled carrots, labneh, pea shoots, raspberries, toasted hazelnuts will be followed by a main course of merguez spiced Airfield Estate lamb, hot smoked onions, garlic and lemon kale and creamed potatoes. For dessert warm doughnuts, lemon and thyme curd, blackberry and red wine ripple ice cream, fennel and almond praline will be served.
Airfield Estate, Dublin city’s 38 acre working farm, throws open its gates for the return of its Festival of Food this September 9th to 11th. Foodie fans are invited to visit Ireland’s largest urban food and farming experience for a special weekend focussing on food sustainability including climate, waste, health, seasons and a showcase of great Irish food. The festival offers the very best of Irish food and drink over a weekend packed with workshops, talks, food markets, unique dining experiences and activities for all ages.
Entrance to the festival is FREE with some events ticketed.
