The second edition of the Redcross Beer Festival is coming back to Wicklow this 6th and 7th of October. The event, which will be hosted by Wicklow Brewery, will offer craft beer lovers the opportunity to try nearly 50 beers as well as enjoy BBQ, music and games.
Besides Wicklow Brewery, there will be several guest breweries from the county attending: Wicklow Wolf from Bray, O’Brother Brewing from Kilcoole, MONT Beer from Blassington, plus Third Barrel Brewing (this last one travelling all the way from Dublin).
Expect music during both days and the now famous Mickey Finn’s Barbecue. If you’re looking for more entertainment, you’ll find games in the beer-hall during the day.
Wicklow Brewery opened its doors in 2014 in the town of Redcross, Co. Wicklow, as a spin-off of the lively Mickey Finn’s Pub, as the owners were motivated by the frequent request of local beers.
They invested on a modern 15 Hl Braukon Brew-house, made by award-winning German manufacturer Braukon, and build a estate of the art brewery where they complete the whole cycle, from brewing to bottling.
For those wishing to spend the night in the area, they suggest River Valley Holiday Park, a popular camping site a short distance from the festival.
