Is this the Real Life? Is this Just Fantasy? Aldi Launches 3 Litre Bottle of Prosecco

If you think a magnum is cool, wait until you you meet the Prosecco jeroboam, a show-stopper bottle with a capacity of three litres (four regular bottles) and the size that Aldi has chosen for its latest fizz launch.

The retailer has made the announcement ahead of the festive season and is expecting to put the giant bottle on its UK shelves from November 14th.

To put things in perspective, Aldi’s Prosecco jeroboam can serve 20 glasses, so it’s a fabulous way to get a party started. Priced at £39.99 (€44.39), it is good value for its size and your guests surely will remember the occasion.

The Extra Dry Prosecco is named Giotti Valdobbiadene DOCG and it’s described as having aromas of “fresh citrus fruits and wisteria flower, with a refreshing acidity and soft sherbet taste.” It has an ABV of 11% and while its novelty appeal is unquestioned, the wine, “light and brilliant straw coloured yellow with persistent perlage” promises to also be a pretty palatable bubbly.
