Patrick Noir of MVP Cocktail Bar to Represent Ireland in Global Competition in Morocco

Patrick Noir of MVP cocktail bar will compete in September against finalists from 15 different countries to win the 2016 Global Opihr Gin Cocktail Competition.

Patrick, who’s originally from Belfast, won the Irish leg of the competition last Monday evening 16th August 2016 with a cocktail named ‘Sail and Myth’, featuring homemade strawberry vermouth and hopped hemp cordial with Opihr oriental spiced gin.

Competition included the ten national finalists who represented other leading Irish cocktail bars including House Dublin, Zozimus, and Cork’s BDSM.

He progresses to the international finals in Marrakesh, Morocco on September 15th. The global winner will be able to distill a limited edition batch of Opihr Gin with Master Distiller, Joanne Moore, which will be sold in finalists’ bars around the world.
