OX Belfast to Host Sold-Out Pop-Up Collaboration in New York

September 28th will see Belfast’s Michelin-Starred chef Stephen Toman cross the Atlantic to showcase his lauded culinary skills to the New York food set. Taking place in Pier A Harbor House restaurant just off the Hudson River, OX will team up with one of New York’s finest cocktail bars ‘The Dead Rabbit’ to host the event, called ‘OX Meets Rabbit’.

Keeping a Northern Irish theme running throughout the night, The Dead Rabbit is run by Belfast natives Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry. Toman will create a five course feast with an emphasis on seasonality paired with bespoke cocktails designed by The Dead Rabbit’s Beverage Director and Bar Manager Jillian Vose.

Tickets retailed at $200 and reportedly sold out in ten minutes, showing that the Big Apple’s appetite for a taste of Belfast is very large indeed. Lucky ticket holders can expect Toman to serve innovative dishes like Beetroot, Gomasio-Cured Sea Trout, Broad Beans, Fennel Pollen and Chateaubriand, Hops, Smoked Potato, Artichoke.

Expertly matched with cocktails such as Irish whiskey – based ‘Looking Glass’ and a specially designed take on the Manhattan with a hint of chilli called ‘Pocket Watch’, Toman’s menu is sure to be a feast for the senses.
