The Stunning Orangery Restaurant Has a New Menu We Can’t Wait to Try It

There are few places more immersed in nature and tranquility than Cliff at Lyons, the idyllic estate just 30 minutes from Dublin in beautiful Kildare. The crowning glory of this luxurious property is undoubtedly the breath-taking Orangery Restaurant, where the menu has undergone a delicious facelift.
The Orangery is one of Ireland’s most beautiful restaurants, a domed ceiling topped glasshouse surrounded by the Irish natural larder which informs the menu at all times. Home to Head Chef Nathan Dimond, The Orangery’s new concept is more exciting than ever, with a menu spanning from tantalising small plates to sumptuous seafood platters and beyond.
Utilising the cream of the crop of Irish produce, the new Orangery menu includes a Raw section touting tempting John Stone Steak Tartare and a Garden Vegetable Carpaccio reflective of the botanical theme of the restaurant, as well as Harty and Kelly’s Oysters to whet the appetite.
Small plates include Galway Bay Mussels, Charred Tender Stem Broccoli and Cauliflower with ewe’s milk ricotta or Kilkee Scallops but those looking for a meatier affair can indulge in delights like Feighcullen Duck, or opt to go family style and share stunning centrepiece dishes like Duvillaun Beg Island Glazed Lamb Shoulder or John Stone Sirloin on the bone.
Finally, the garden pantry of The Orangery again takes centre stage to end the menu on a sweet note, with dishes like Braeburn Apple Spiced Cake and Toffee or Poached Rhubarb adorned with marshmallow and meringue.
The Orangery is now open 7 nights a week from 5.30 to 9.30pm and dinner in this stunning restaurant is sure to make a lasting impression.
