Spread the News: The World’s First Nutella Cafe to Open this Month
This month, a Nutella-themed cafe will give us yet another reason to visit Chicago. The venue, operated and owned by Italian confectionery giant Ferrero, it will open on May 31 and it will be the first of its kind: A spacious state-of-the-art site fully inspired by the famous hazelnut spread which, unlike the smaller Nutella Bars currently operating in Eataly in both Chicago and New York, will also offer savoury dishes that won’t contain Nutella.
The menu, unmistakably Italian, combines favourites shuch as gelato, crepes and a large selection of Nutella-filled or covered baked goods, and also, soups, paninis and salads. The full menu can be seen here.
The Nutella Cafe will be located in Chicago’s Millennium Park Plaza on the city’s East Side. Noah Szporn, Head of Marketing Nutella North America said: “We wanted to create a world of Nutella for our fans that could truly capture the essence of the brand – not just in the dishes that will be served, but in the full experience from the moment you step into the space.”
And if you happen to be one of the lucky people to visit the Nutella Bar on opening day (May 31st, 10:00 am), you’re in for an extra treat as they’ve promised “surprises” for the first 400 visitors.
