New Food Festival “Flavours of South Dublin” is Coming to Rathfarnham Castle Park next Month

Dublin City Council has confirmed that the city is getting a shiny new summer food festival: Flavours of South Dublin, which will be held for the first time next 25th of June in Rathfarnham Castle Park.

Flavours of South Dublin will give visitors the opportunity to taste and enjoy the diverse culinary offer than the South Dublin area has to offer, from traditional Irish to Asian, fusion and other world flavours that have become part of Dublin’s blooming restaurant scene, specially over the last decade.

It is expected that the gastronomic offer will be complimented by displays of cultural elements from several of the international communities in the area.

While the exact details of the festival are yet to be confirmed, the event will be a great opportunity for both locals and visitors to discover new tastes in the South of the Irish capital.

It will also represent a great opportunity to visit Rathfarnham Castle Park, a 16th-century fortified house with a large playground for the little ones and stunning tearooms open everyday all year round.

How to get there?

Buses serving the area are numbers 16 from City Centre, 17 (Blackrock – Rialto), and 75 (Dun Laoghaire – Tallaght). Check the Dublin Bus website for up to date schedules. There is parking for both cars and coaches on site.
