Music, Food and Culture Happenings at Kildare Village this July

Lovers of opera will be thrilled to learn of the Lismore Opera Festival pop up at Kildare Village, featuring as part of the ‘From the Isle’ summer festival line up. Visitors to Kildare Village will enjoy these ‘Sounds from the Isle’ as they while away their Thursday evening on 28 July from 6:30PM. Why not make an afternoon of it and enjoy a sensational summer barbecue at Le Pain Quotidien in advance of these musical talents from 4PM.

Throughout the same weekend, visitors will also be invited to discover the culinary secrets from some of Ireland’s most talented food creatives at Kildare Village’s Food: From the Isle summer tastings and workshops. Taking place on Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 July, a very special appearance from leading Japanese cook and Tipperary native, Fiona Uyema, will take place at the Zwilling boutique from 1PM – 4PM. Soak up all there is to know about Japanese food as Fiona hosts cooking demos and signs copies of her cookbook, ‘Japanese Food Made Easy’.

The eclectic ‘From the Isle’ summer festival line up incorporates the wealth of Irish talent now emerging in Ireland across food, fashion, music and craft.

Officially launched in April, From the Isle underlines Kildare Village’s commitment to nurturing the extraordinary wealth of talent now emerging in Ireland’s creative sector and reinvigorating Irish fashion, craft and food. Rooted in tradition but forging their own path, From the Isle celebrates these creatives who are part of a vibrant contemporary movement.
