Marqette, the award-winning new dining concept that showcases the best of Irish food, has expanded its brand in Dublin Airport by opening Marqette Café, which is located in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal One.
Operated by the Michael JF Wright Hospitality Group, the official opening of Marqette Café coincides with the second anniversary of the company’s flagship restaurant, Marqette, which is located beyond the security screening area in Terminal 1.
Marqette creates new culinary experiences for airport customers every day. With its own in-house bakery and modern state of the art kitchen, the Marqette team use local and seasonal ingredients to bring an extensive range of delicious food and drink options to suit everyone.
Every day, Marqette chefs bake over 400 croissants and handmade scones, assorted pastries and buns, 600 muffins, 200 hand-crafted desserts, 75 cupcakes and 10 varieties of fresh artisan breads.
Marqette’s general manager, Michael Thornton, commented: “There is nothing like the smell of fresh baked goods coming out of the oven to bring a smile to your face.”
He added: “Now that we have Marqette in departures area and Marqette Café in arrivals, our customers have the opportunity to indulge in either a pre-flight treat, a to-go option to enjoy inflight or as a quick pick-me-up upon arrivals.”
The new café will also offer a signature sandwiches range, portable hot dishes, and a fantastic selection of Bewley’s coffee, along with a range of organic teas.
Having recently won Airport Food Hall of the Year at this year’s FAB Awards in Toronto, Wright and his team have further expansion plans in mind at home and abroad.
Marqette Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week from 6am – midnight. For more information, visit Marqette.com.
