The Luxurious Ashford Castle Appoints a New Director of Operations
Ashford Castle has announced the appointment of Mr. Alan Valley as Director of Operations at the luxurious property.
Alan joins the team of 350 staff at Ashford Castle, where their reputation for impeccable service means “no request is too large, no detail too small.”
Speaking about his appointment, he said, “Ashford Castle is internationally regarded for being best in class, from our amenities, people and our service, I am honoured to provide leadership and support to some of the most talented teams and individuals at one of the world’s finest properties.”
He’ll be reporting to the hotel’s general manager, Niall Rochford, who added: “We are delighted to welcome Alan into the Ashford Castle and Red Carnation Hotels family as our new Director of Operations.
Alan’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry will no doubt help to further enhance the lasting impression an experience at Ashford Castle has on our guests.”
Having worked in the Irish, UK and International hospitality industry for over 14 years, Alan Valley will now be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the multi award-winning property’s extensive front and back-of-house operations.
Beginning his hotel career in Dublin’s 5-star Merrion Hotel, Alan has held senior leadership roles at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Dublin and Seychelles, and also in Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Hotel.
Ashford Castle was recently awarded Hotel of the Year for Ireland at the 2017 AA Hospitality Awards and voted the second Best Resort Hotel in the UK and Ireland by Travel + Leisure’s ‘World’s Best Awards’ for 2017.
