Dublin 8 Gem Locks Names Chris Maguire as New Head Chef

Locks on Windsor Terrace has gained a reputation for being a neighbourhood gem in Dublin 8 and is frequently flooded with diners seeking out their contemporary Irish cuisine served in a stunning canal-side dining room.

The acclaimed restaurant is run by a passionate team of chefs, Connor O’Dowd and Paul McNamara, and it has just been announced that Chris Maguire has been named as the new Head Chef.

Connor and Paul have worked with Chris previously, in the kitchen in Michelin starred Chapter One, and Maguire has since manned the kitchens of celebrated restaurants across the globe including The Ledbury and Trinity Restaurant in London and West Restaurant, Vancouver.

Originally from Yellowknife, Canada, Chris is delighted to be back in Dublin and will continue to cook modern and seasonal food, with a real focus on flavour, fans of Locks will be delighted to hear.

Paul McNamara is about to embark on a new adventure on Aungier St opening a restuarant called Uno Mas with Simon Barrett and Liz Matthews of Etto, so Chris will make a welcome addition to the ever-busy Locks kitchen. We can’t wait to revisit this firm favourite to see how it evolves with Chris in tow.
