Lidl Launches Range of Fine French Wines for Easter

Easter is a time of celebration and this year Lidl has sourced the finest selection of French wines to be enjoyed with friends, family and loved ones. The range, on sale from February 22nd includes wines from across the classic regions of France, like Alsace, Bordeaux and Bourgogne. With prices ranging from €8.99 to €39.99, there’s something to suit every taste and budget! The range is on sale for a limited period while stocks last.

To ensure only the finest wines are chosen, each wine has been rated by Master of Wine, Richard Bampfield, one of only 312 Masters of Wine in the world. This distinction is awarded by the Institute of Masters of Wine, which promotes the highest standard of education achievement in the wine industry.

Fans of refreshing, clean white wines need look no further than Lidl’s Pinot Blanc Pfaffenheim (€9.99). Rich and full-flavoured on the palate, with delicate pear flavours and an underlying note of white pepper which keeps it refreshing, enjoy this wine on its own, as an aperitif or with lightly spiced dishes. Another white not to miss is the Alsace Riesling (€9.99). With ripe aromas of baked apple, this is textured, richly flavoured and has a great overall balance.

If you’re looking for the perfect wine to pair with Easter dinner, look no further than Lidl’s Cahors AOC Château QUATTRE (€12.99). This versatile red wine is perfect served with lamb dishes. For something truly special, keep an eye out for Lidl’s Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Fleur Quercus (€24.99), which showcases rich blackberry fruit, supported by complex chocolate and balsamic flavours from oak ageing.
