L’Ecrivain Launches a New Dining Experience ’The Samsung Kitchen’

Samsung Ireland and l’Ecrivain have announced the opening of The Samsung Kitchen @ l’Ecrivain. Situated in the award-winning restaurant in Baggot Street, the luxury bespoke kitchen will house an intimate dining and culinary experience creating a new concept in fine dining.

Guests will dine in the modern and contemporary kitchen space and witness first-hand the talents of Michelin starred chef and restaurateur Derry Clarke as he and his team create exquisite dishes served directly from the oven to the table.

The Samsung Kitchen @ l’Ecrivain features the state-of-the-art Samsung appliances from its recently launched Chef Collection designed by Michelin Star chefs of the world. Derry has just been revealed as the first ever brand ambassador for the home appliances category with Samsung in Ireland.

Speaking about the new venture Derry said, “I’m exceptionally proud to open the next chapter in l’Ecrivain’s story with this new addition to our restaurant space. It is a great pleasure to be Ireland’s first Samsung Home Appliance brand ambassador and it has been an entirely new experience working with the Samsung team to create what we feel is a something a little different. We only work with the best at l‘Ecrivain and I’m thrilled with the premium feel to the design of kitchen and the products we’ve installed. The Samsung Chef Collection is clearly designed by chefs but with home cooking in mind and they’re among the best appliances my team and I have ever worked with.”

This private dining room with a ‘live kitchen’ is ideal for corporate, private functions or indeed just to get together with friends. The new venture is different from the main restaurant, you can look and learn as you enjoy your meal as the cooking and preparation of your menu will be displayed on large screens. Interaction is encouraged so feel free to ask your chef questions about any of the dishes.

A minimum of 12 guests is required and the room can accommodate up to 20 people. A set menu applies to the Samsung Dining Experience (see smaple menus below) but any allergies or intolerance will of course be accommodated on the day and the menu will be tailored to suit your occasion.

Derry himself will be popping in to lend a hand to his talented team or you can opt to have him as your personal chef for the duration of your meal, depending on availability.

Dinner is priced at €85 per person
Lunch is priced at €55 per person
A 12.5% gratuity will be added to the final bill
