Michelin Starred Restaurant l’Ecrivain Doubled its Profits in 2016

As fine dining in Ireland is experiencing a boom, Michelin Starred restaurant l’Ecrivain has reported profits of €114,121 last year, a figure that doubles the previous year’s. The iconic venue, which celebrates its 28th anniversary this July, is owned and run by husband and wife team Derry Clarke and Sallyanne Clarke.

As reported by the Irish Independent, the opening of the Samsung Kitchen in 2015 represented a significant boost in business. The new private dining room increased the book value of tangible assets from €196,695 to €239,605.

The news of l’Ecrivain success come just days after Patrick Guilbaud reported its best year ever.

L’Ecrivain is celebrating its birthday with a special retro menu which brings back classic dishes featured on the menu over the years. The three course experience offers a taste of the evolution of this Dublin institution.
