Formerly Blackrock’s favourite neighborhood bistro, Le Plancha has been settled in its new home in Monkstown only since last September, but owners Andrew Lawlor and Eimear Brannelly are continuing to keep things fresh by adding a new head chef to the team and introducing weekend brunch.
Taking over the stoves is chef Paul Regan, who will bring his experience from The Whitefriar Grill and The Green Hen to the restaurant, while also continuing Le Plancha’s ethos of using local ingredients and on making everything in house where possible.
Kicking off this weekend, the Monkstown favourite will now be running brunch every Saturday and Sunday 12pm – 3pm, and including this Bank Holiday Monday.
All the brunch classics are on offer; there’s Full Breakfast, Eggs Benedict and French Toast.
But in true Le Plancha style they have introduced Mediterranean inspired dishes too, sure to add some sunshine to your weekend.
Added to their signature Chicken and Chorizo Paella, are Huevos Rancheros and a Crab & Chorizo Hash with fresh Irish crab meat, 2 poached eggs, asparagus, and a citrus hollandaise.
As ever Le Plancha will be taking advantage of seasonal ingredients, and promise the staple brunch dishes will be supplemented with daily specials.
With prices ranging from €9 to €18 there’s something for every palate and budget, and with all dishes coming with Le Plancha fried potatoes you’ll get an extra bang for your buck.
