Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube Has Been Filming in Fermanagh

Tourism Ireland invited Jamie Oliver’s web series Food Tube to come to Northern Ireland as part of the promotion for the Year of Food and Drink.

Food Tube is one of YouTube’s most successful channels, featuring Jamie himself and a number of Irish talents including Donal Skehan and Susan Jane White. With over 22 million monthly views, it’s a really popular community for food lovers and a superb platform to showcase Northern Ireland produce and food culture.

Chef and broadcaster John Quilter, aka Food Busker, was in Enniskillen at the weekend shooting the first of two videos that will focus on Northern Ireland on Food Tube. John created a ‘brilliant bacon sandwich’ and his film will feature Pat O’Doherty’s Fermanagh Black Bacon while showcasing the beautiful Fermanagh Lakelands.

The second video will be filmed this week in Co. Antrim and both will be shown on Food Tube towards the end of May, look out for the hash tag #EnjoyNI.

David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Deputy Head of Great Britain, said “We’re really excited to work with Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube to promote Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink in GB. Our message here in GB is that Northern Ireland is a superb choice for ‘foodies’ for a holiday or long weekend break. We’re inviting them to come and discover our wonderful food and drink – and also hear the stories of the passionate people who rear, make, cook, distill and serve this superb produce.”

The Food Tube videos are part of a year long initiative by Tourism Ireland to celebrate the best of Northern Ireland’s food and drink scene. The Year of Food and Drink is an international programme that is encouraging visitors to come and ‘take a bite out of Northern Ireland’.
