Following the first ever live ceremony announcement of The Michelin Guide UK & Ireland at the Savoy London, we now have the full list of 2017 Michelin star winners and retainers, as well as the Bib Gourmand winners.
Massive congratulations go to Heron & Grey, Blackrock for bringing a new star to Ireland. The petite Blackrock eatery has been praised for ‘quirky, innovative and original’ cuisine, which is heavily seasonally driven with the menu changing on a bi-weekly basis. Andrew Heron manages front of house and Damien Grey is the head chef.
Every Irish Michelin starred restaurant has retained its star in 2017, with Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud retaining two stars. For the second year in a row, there are no new 3 star restaurants in the UK & Ireland and this year there are no new Michelin stars for Scotland.
The Bib Gourmand awards, which recognise “good quality, good value cooking” were also announced, with all of 2016’s winners retaining their Bib. Armagh’s Wine and Brine is the only new addition to the list.
