Grab A Spoon – Ireland’s First Dessert Festival Is Coming This Summer

The first ever Irish Dessert Festival will launch this summer from 23rd to 29th July. The week long festival will see businesses all over Ireland enticing people to taste the best desserts Ireland has to offer.

Restaurants, ice-cream parlous, crêperies, bakeries and donut shops will be serving up their signature sweet dishes to eager foodies.

Think luscious creamy milkshakes, perfectly baked cakes and chocolate covered goodies for an entire week. The organiser of this delicious festival, Ernest Cantillon, commented on the event saying;

“We are very fortunate to have an abundance of quality producers and food outlets in Ireland. Following the huge success of our previous festivals and the overwhelming support from businesses and visitors alike it was an easy decision for us to launch our newest event: Ireland’s very own Dessert Festival.”

The festival gives businesses the opportunity to engage with a wider national audience, welcome new customers and showcase their sweet treat creations.

Ernest went on to say that Dessert Fest is must for “sweet-toothed dessert enthusiast”, all passionate foodies and even master bakers and confectioners. Kitchens across the country will be showing off their culinary prowess with unique desserts and a few fun foodie events throughout the week.

At the sweet themed festival they “hope to showcase some of the finest desserts and allow for a few surprises along the way.” Summer diets will most definitely be paused for the week long festival as people nationwide enjoy a host of culinary delights.

Interested businesses can get involved by registering here. Registration costs €95 per venue and each business can choose how they celebrate their fantastic desserts.

A full list of participants and workshops will be released in the weeks leading up to the festival.
