Sample The World’s Flavours At The International Street Food Festival This July

An international street food festival is set to whet appetites this July as part of Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular.

Just Eat and Irish Village Markets have come together for the food festival which will take place on the weekend of July 8th and 9th.

During the 2-day event, festival-goers will be able to sample over 25 cuisines from around the world, with Kerala Kitchen and Kanum Thai among those on offer.

Kerala Kitchen will have freshly-made naan rolls with chicken tikka, lamb seekh or veggie aloo tikki on offer.

The fresh Indian food options will also include lentil dahl and salad boxes with grilled tandoor delights for festival-goers to feast their eyes on.

Kanum Thai will have some authentic food for guests to sample, with portions of creamy beef Massaman curry and traditional pad thai noodles set to impress.

For the health conscious, Shakapoke serves Hawaii’s raw fish salads and Poké is the next big healthy food trend sweeping the street food scene.

A taste of what’s on offer include freshly sourced sashimi grade tuna or salmon, on a bed of healthy ingredients such as wakame (seaweed), edamame beans, sesame seeds, ripe avocado and tropical fruits like pineapple and mango.

Latin and salsa music from the Cuban All Stars, Havana Club Trio, will be sure to keep attendees entertained. Afrobeat ensemble Manden Express and samba musicians and dancers, MaSamba, will compliment the cuisine on offer.

This huge street food event will take place at Dublin’s Merrion Square on July 8th and 9th and Cork’s Fitzgerald Park on July 15th and 16th.

Entrance to the Laya Healthcare City Spectacular is free. Running from July 7th – 9th, there will be over 300 shows, workshops and activities to enjoy.

With 1/4 of a million people expected to attend the festivals in Dublin and Cork, it looks set to be a great family day out. For more information on the International Food Festival, along with the spectacular itself, visit cityspectacular.com
